NEW - Soul Sync System

A New Vision for Intimate Relationships

In the 21st century, creating and maintaining an authentic and enriching connection with an intimate partner requires a whole new vision and approach. Real love is a call to us to awaken to our deepest nature. Intimate relationship is a powerful medium for this awakening because it inspires openness and expansion, even as it brings to life conditioned patterns from the past that hinder lovers from being present to each other. At such moments our limited, conditioned self and our larger, open nature meet. If we are open to conscious relationship, these moments can provide the space where real transformation happens and intimate relationship becomes a sacred path. This sense of presence creates the foundation for this new vision of relationship.

Who will benefit? Singles, those already in a relationship, and those planning a relationship.

Mary and Austin

When they began their sacred journey more than forty years ago, Mary and Austin dedicated themselves to co-creating a soul-mate quality relationship. Mary, coming from four years in a convent studying to be a nun, and Austin, coming from four years studying to be a priest – both realized they had much to learn about intimate relationship.

They set out on a path of personal and spiritual transformation and in the process began to discover and develop the sacred, soul-mate relationship they desired. They have been guided to share what they have learned and now experience. They created the Soul Sync System to help those individuals and couples who are ready to answer the call to this new vision of relationship.

ONE DAY MINDFULNESS RETREAT

SATURDAY, SEPT 20TH, 2008 9.30 AM – 5.00 PM

At Rosemary Heights Retreat Centre

$125 ($95 if paid by August 31st) Includes lunch and snacks

The focus for this retreat will be on the individual’s connection with soul and developing the components of unconditional presence to self and others. Mindfulness helps clear the thinking patterns that result from old conditioning and opens the heart to self-acceptance and joyful living. Participants will be offered powerful ways of expanding self-love and compassion as they prepare to experience this New Vision of Relationship - Soul Sync System™, a context for creating enlightened, intimate relationships. The format will consist of talks, silence, experiential exercises, and meditation.

This retreat will advance you on the journey of knowing yourself through mindfulness, knowing what’s true for you. It’s about how you open to true self- discovery, how you relate to love, how you open (or don’t open) to love of yourself or others.

It’s a journey of self-investigation. The focus is not on how to have a good relationship, although insights that come out of this will indeed help you have a better relationship, but that’s not the main objective. The main focus of this retreat is your relationship to self.

As you mindfully develop an aware sense of self, you learn to trust that you have within you the ability to embrace and be with our own feelings, regardless of their quality. This builds a level of self-acceptance – a prelude to effective relating to, and acceptance of others.

This Mindfulness Retreat is open to everyone, and is a prerequisite for individuals and couples who would like to participate in the Soul Sync System™ Workshops.

skyRosemary Heights Retreat Centre offers a sanctuary of contemplative calm. It is located on 30 acres of forested grandeur on the banks of the Nikomekl River, in south Surrey, about 35 kilometers south of Vancouver.

The Charter for Compassion

We urge you to take a moment to watch a short video that went live on the web today. Beautifully filmed and edited by Jesse Dylan and his team at Form TV, it might just be the most inspiring thing you see this week.

That video, and this website mark the launch of an inspiring global endeavor to celebrate compassion and to promote a new collaboration between the world's religions. What we're doing, starting today, is to begin writing the Charter for Compassion that Karen Armstrong called for earlier this year when she made her  wish. And the exhilarating twist here is that the writing won't be done behind closed doors. It will be done by you... and perhaps millions of others around the world. Because we're using special collaborative web tools created by the geniuses at Kluster to enable this be truly a charter "created by the world for the world".

Later this week millions of Muslims, Christians, and Jews will be sent an email inviting them to come to the site and offer their choice of words, in their own language, to help create a charter capable of inspiring the world to focus on what the great religions share, as opposed to what divides them. Already people are responding to this amazing idea with passion and excitement. The goal is to obtain all input from global participants within the next four weeks, select the best contributions with the help of a council of religious "sages", and conduct a major launch of the finished document in 2009.

At TED2008 in March of this year, TED Prize winner Karen Armstrong was granted a wish to change the world. This is what she asked for:

"I wish that you would help with the creation, launch and propagation of a Charter for Compassion, crafted by a group of leading inspirational thinkers from the three Abrahamic traditions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam and based on the fundamental principles of universal justice and respect."

Since then support for idea has built among numerous religious groups, spiritual leaders such as Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Islamic scholar Tariq Ramadan, and Britain's first female Rabbi Julia Neuberger have joined a special Council to oversee the Charter, and Kluster, a collaborative decision making platform, has built a groundbreaking site that will allow anyone to contribute to the Charter.

Special Guest Speaker on Sunday, September 21st 2008

Bob Kull PhD introduces his new book
SOLITUDE: Seeking Wisdom in Extremes—A Year Alone in the Patagonia Wilderness

“This is an amazing story, worth reading and being inspired by. Bob is like a modern shaman, going out and coming back. And a reader can take a good portion of Bob’s experience into himself and be changed by it.”
–Thomas Moore, author of Care of the Soul

KullIn February 2001, Bob Kull traveled to a remote island in the Patagonia wilderness with enough supplies to live alone for a year. He sought to explore the effects of deep solitude on the body and mind and to find the answers to the spiritual questions that had plagued him throughout his entire life. With only a cat and his thoughts as companions, he wrestled with inner storms while the wild forces of nature raged around him. The physical challenges were immense, but the struggles of mind and spirit pushed him to the limits of human endurance.

Solitude is the diary of Kull’s tumultuous year. Throughout the book, Kull also includes reflective “interludes” between his journal entries to add perspective and to allow the reader to step back from the immediate intensity of his solitude experience. But the heart of his story beats within the hours, days, and months of his journal. Kull has also captured his journey in spectacular photographs, which he would be happy to present in a slide show. In this passage from Solitude’s Introduction, Kull provides great context for his work:

"In many cultures, solitude is recognized as an opportunity to journey inward; in our culture, spending time alone is often considered unhealthy because we tend to believe that meaning in life is found only through relationship with other people. But to be fully human, we need relationships not only with other people but with the nonhuman world, with our own inner depths—and with Something Greater. For me, that non-material Presence is mysterious and sacred. It can be experienced, but not defined. And I’ve learned that in coming into a deeper relationship with my self, I develop the capacity to connect more deeply with others.

One of the challenges of solitude is that you have to face yourself. There are no easy escapes. During the year, I struggled with on-going cycles of resistance and release. Each resolution gave rise to new tension, as storm and calm followed each other in succession. The fundamental tensions were emotional and spiritual, and the moments of resolution did not arise from changing the world, but from coming to accept the world (and myself) as it is."

Robert Kull has spent years wandering North and South America, and has lived all over the world, working as a scuba instructor, wilderness guide, construction worker, dishwasher, truck driver, bartender, painter, firefighter, and professor. Kull began undergraduate studies at age forty and now holds a Ph.D. from University of British Columbia.

The Ancient Secrets of Success for Today's World.
The Unfailing System of the Four Proclamations That Has Made Commoners into Kings And Sublimates Stress into Power

What Are The 4 Proclamations?

Thousands of years ago the Ancient Masters formulated an unfailing system of Success.

This system trains the mind to think the thoughts that we want to think. And not the thoughts we are forced to think by our present circumstances and future fears.

This system consists of four statements; rather, they are Four Proclamations which gives the practitioner the power to apply the secret of Success.

Without having control of thought, success is impossible.

Ancient Secrets of Success

  • Demolishes the myth that success requires back-breaking work and wearisome effort
  • Answers why can’t we hold a vision and manifest the vision
  • Shows four steps to visioning and manifesting the vision
  • Reveals the art of meditation to silence the internal chatter of the mind to be whatever you want to be

Through science, myths, and stories you will be guided to enter into the spirit of life and live like you have never lived before. Life will no longer be an endurance test but will become an enchantment. www.tulshisen.com

Prior Series:

Consciousness Creates series in eight lessons, July and August '08

We are on a wonderful journey of self-discovery where we learn how to transform our lives. As we evolve and experience higher levels of living, our experience of life takes on a sense of effortlessness. We do this through a process of growth in consciousness. Whatever level of consciousness we now experience creates what we call our outer reality, the work of re-forming our world.

In this series we examine how to consciously engage the evolutionary process, how to deliberately cooperate with, and participate in our own evolution, and how to unfold or amazing potential.

Life needs our conscious cooperation. When we commit to this inner transformation, experiencing higher and higher levels of consciousness, we go about the exciting work of expanding the quality of our lives. It is our nature to evolve, and as we do, we open to newer and newer worlds and a soul-satisfying quality of life we have never before experienced.

Living the Tao
